Q: Can we meet the man Bayo Alawiye

Bayo: Bayo Alawiye is an actor,a director and a movie producer, B.A in theater arts from University of Ibadan, specialized in media and directing. Married to Victoria Oluwaseun Alawiye and blessed with two wonderful kids

Q: You attended University of ibadan did you have an encounter with theater greats like Prof. Adelugba and how did it impact your Life?

Bayo: Greatly, Not only him though...Femi Osofisan, Femi Fatoba, Jide Malomo, Bankole Bello, Bayo oduneye and more. They all remoulded Bayo Alawiye into what he is today.

Q: Did you start as an actor?

Bayo: Yes

Q: what was your first role on TV?

Bayo: A lover boy/armed robber on ija okan 2006

Q: and since then your career seems to have skyrocket, can you let us into the journey so far?

Bayo: Well, it did not skyrocket as you put it.I had my trying moments, at the time I was torn between being a popular face or being respected actor, i choose the latter. i will be less popular taking up roles that require training and my personalty does not agree with, because after Ija okan, I was bombarded with scripts everywhere, Instead I chose scripts that I could have artistic control over either as a Director or as a writer. It's better to be less popular I mean, so I tailored my career path along that path about five years ago.

Q: You have done well as a script writer and a director, can you share with us your Journey?

Bayo: it's not a smooth one, I must say. I got married under thirty, so you can Imagine the responsibility. Money was an issue most def. but what saved me was writing and directing, so I was able to choose the acting role I took up then, writing and directing saved me.

Q: thank you for sharing your time with us

Bayo: you are welcome!
