
Elizabeth Taylor was a British born American actress that dazzled us all with magical performances in various movies. She was a child star and later grew up to be one of the most enigmatic actresses that Hollywood had ever encountered. she was a two time Oscar award winner and a social activist championing the cause of HIV/AIDS awareness and cure.
Elizabeth Taylor born on February 27, 1932 to the family of Francis Lenn Taylor in London, She was the second child of the family and her parents were Americans residing in England at the time. since she appeared in her first screen performance there's one born every minute, she had stolen the hearts of movie lovers even though she was just nine years of age. we will all remember Elizabeth Taylor for her performances as an adult in such films like the big hangover and father of the bride. These were the films that helped Lizzy's (as fondly called by fans)career, later in life she acted in various box office hits like Raintree country, cat on a hot tin roof, suddenly last summer and butterfield 8 with which she was nominated for an academy award as best actress for four years in a row. In 1960, she became the highest paid actress when she was paid a million dollars for her lead role in the movie Cleopatra. she began a romance with Richard Burton who played "Mark Anthony" in the movie Cleopatra and who later became her husband.
In the 80's Elizabeth Taylor started featuring in TV series and some of them were malice in wonderland,north and south, the flintstones just to mention a few. Elizabeth could be called the queen of jewelries amongst stars of her time, she loved jewelries and it was hard not to notice her jewelries, some of which were very expensive diamonds and pearls. To show her profound love for jewelries she wrote a book titled my love affair with jewelries. Lizzy's life was one of glitz and glamor, she was a well known celebrity all over the world and her influence on Hollywood can never be overemphasized, she was a true screen goddess and she represented what super stardom was all about in her time and even before she died. Lizzy loved diamonds but was a diamond herself and it is no overstatement that the world has lost a gem.
